On May 15, 2024, Den Fynske Landsby in Odense hosted the ARIES 4 CRE8 Case Competition, where six students from diverse academic backgrounds presented innovative sustainability ideas.
The event began with a talk on sustainability by Professor Martin Hannibal from SDU, followed by a session on pitching techniques led by Patrick Bångerius. Lise Gerda Knudsen, Head of Development at Den Fynske Landsby, guided the students through the museum, offering insights into 19th-century Danish life, which inspired their ideas.
Team 1 proposed building sustainable houses with activities suited to different generations, while Team 2 focused on creating plant-based clothing for startups and SMEs.
After the presentations, the jury, including Professor Julie Emontspool from SDU, selected Team 1 as the winner for their innovative approach. Participants appreciated the event’s collaborative and educational atmosphere.
